Lemmie- Religion

Okay so  this is quite a controversial topic  but I'm going to just dive straight in!

I personally don't believe in any religion. I am an atheist, at the moment anyway. I am one hundred percent open to religion and I really couldn't care less what other people believe in (as long as they don't shove it down my throat).
I think the reason I don't have a religion is that  it just doesn't make sense to me, I like science and facts and  logical  thinking. I think that people can believe in what ever they like as long as they don't discriminate which is why I disagree with the view of some of my friends, who believe that homosexuality is wrong.
We have done a lot of work in school etc. about Christianity and Islam, and although I respect other people's views, it really does not make sense to me. How can I know which  religion is "right". There are roughly four thousand two hundred religions today and thousands and thousands in the past, how could any person ever know which one was correct. I always have the view that I only believe in one less religion than theists, we have both rejected four thousand one hundred and ninety nine Gods.

Perhaps my favourite thing about scientific beliefs  is the theory of infinite universes. The theory is that there are an infinite amount of universes with infinite possibilities, and because of that universes will be repeated but with slight changes. for  example some scientists believe that there is a universe where  my blog has one million followers and there is also one where I am best friends with Jenifer Lawrence. So, although this is only I theory I hope to God ( see what I did there) that it is true because I find it way more comforting that somewhere I have just won an Oscar, than any kind of religious belief.

Okay see you next week, Lemmie xxx

A Day in the Life of Lemmie

Okay so this week's theme is "A Day in the Life" and  I'm not going to lie my life is not the most interesting but here goes!

I woke up around 7:20 and got ready into my gorgeous school uniform. As you can see it is wonderful.  I did my hair and make-up like I do for a normal school day (badly and very, very quickly) with help from my bestie, my hair spray. And by "do" my hair I mean try and tame my lion mane int0 something vaguely socially acceptable. It takes me maybe half an hour to get ready, but I am always running around the house in a mad panic.
I then power-walked to the  beautiful building- site that is my bus stop. My house is about a five minute walk from my bus stop but I still manage to be almost  late pretty much everyday. Here is  my bus stop,my house and my street. Wow, just look at how picturesque that scaffolding looks.

When I got to school it was pretty much like every other day, except Monday is the one day I don't have PE! So unfortunately no running around it the rain for me. I had biology and we dissected a heart which was fun, but I'm not quite sure what animal it came from.

Here is my school! I took this on a much nicer day than today because the weather was awful. Our school is kind split up into loads of different buildings for different lessons, which involves a lot of walking around in the rain.

When I (finally) got home from school at about ten past four, I went to my friend's for a bit. You can see us chillaxing here. We just hung out and did some super fun homework.

So that was my extremely thrilling day, I hope you enjoyed it see you next Monday!

Confidence

Okay so there isn't really anything to say about confidence that hasn't already been said, but I'm going to share what I have found  helpful for me.

1. Don't be worried that your not confident, most people aren't, they're just as nervous as you. So if your nervous to approach someone just remember that they won't even notice what you say or do because they are usually focusing so much on what they are going to say that they won't be concentrating on what you say.

2. Smile and laugh! If you look like you're happy people assume you are, and will assume you are confident.  It is also important to be able to laugh at yourself if you make mistakes or fall over etc. Have fun and don't take life too seriously.

3.  Know yourself and learn to love yourself. As cheesy as this sounds when you know what you're good at and can embrace it then people will love you for you!

4. Speak confidently. If you pretend you know what you're on about most people will believe you know your stuff. It sounds stupid but if you say something with enough conviction it will make you more comfortable with yourself and your opinions.

5. Finally, don't worry about not being confident most people struggle with confidence issues and as long as you have enough to feel happy with yourself that's fine. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance

Good luck and have fun

My Room- Lemmie

Okay so here are my three favourite bits of my room:

1) So here are my bedside tables with a ton of make-up and beauty products sort of just chucked on there randomly. I use them everyday so never really bother to sort them out, but I love them and I love putting on my make- up in the morning and especially for special occasions.

 2) My wardrobe! I love my wardrobe because I love picking outfits and buying clothes. Its about three quarters t-shirts and I have way way too many. Unfortunately in the cupboard to the right is where all of my dreaded school uniform lives but I like to pretend that bit doesn't exist at the weekend.

3) I love this bit of my room; its got my birdie wall sticker, some cupboards that as you can see are mainly full of crap, and you can just about make out my "goats in trees" calender near the bottom. The cupboard that is open is set into the wall which is why it is such a funny shape and it is actually the space under the stairs, as there are stairs right next to my room.

I hope you guys got to know me a little bit more,

School- Lemmie

Hello!

Last week I started my first day of year eleven, which is my fifth year in secondary ( high ) school and my twelfth year in education. Wow, that's a pretty hefty chunk of my life and I thought seen as how I am an extremely unorganised person, I thought I would write a list of nine things to bring to school. ( I am also starting to notice that I seem to be incapable of writing anything other than lists.)

1) Yourself: It is important to come to school because as I have learnt from past experience, the day that I miss is always the most exiting day of the year. The days I am off school ill are always the ones where my  teachers go mental, a gazillion fights happen and the school catches fire, and I end up missing it all because I am at home.

2) Your books/ folder/ work: If you don't bring these in or in my case never do any homework then you like me will face the wrath of your teachers however, if you are anything like me then this will not deter you from being lazy and you will carry on doing things the hard way.

3) A smiley resting face: This one is a bit weird but I have found that everything is a lot easier if your normal face is smiling. Ninety percent of the time I have no idea what anyone is talking about, but what I have discovered is that if you smile and look interested people assume that you're listening to them (this is particularly useful in lessons such as maths where I tend to zone out after a couple of minutes).

4) Water: Because why would you want to be thirsty?

5) Food: Because why would you want to be hungry or if you go to a school like mine, have to eat the greasy, slimy, nasty cafeteria food.

6) Lip balm: I hate dry lips and in the winter I get them all the time so lip balm is a must.

7) A pen/ pencil: I hate having to write my notes in my own blood so I like to bring  a pen or pencil.

8) Coloured pens and highlighters: I love using these to doodle all over my book and make my work look pretty or to send elaborate notes to my friends.

9) Gum: Either chew it secretively and save it, or use it as a friend making tool, because everyone loves the kid with gum.

Good luck at school

YouTubers- Lemmie

Hello!

So as more and more people are beginning to watch YouTubers and vloggers, Youtubers are beginning to have a lot more influence on a lot more people. I thought I would share my top five videos of YouTubers using their powers for good.

1) Troye Sivan- "Coming Out": Troye Sivan is a really funny Vlogger, who shared his coming out story, which I'm sure inspired loads of young people struggling with their sexuality. Well done Troye! ( Mini round of applause).

2) Sprinkle of Glitter - "Having Hope" & " Self Harm- Your Questions answered": I love Louise, she is so funny and a great fashion and beauty blogger and YouTuber. However I was also really inspired by her more serious videos about how to cope with rough periods in your life and self harm ( and I'm sure she has done more in the past,) For a lot of people my age, these are some issues that are really close to home and I thought she dealt with them amazingly well!

3) Zoella - "Dealing with Panic Attacks": Speaking of beauty and fashion YouTubers, Zoella did a great video explaining panic attacks and how she dealt with them. I didn't really know much about panic attacks before watching this and it was really helpful having her explain her experiences. Thank you Zoe!

4) NigaHiga- "The Christmas Ninja" : Ryan is one of my favourite YouTubers, he always makes me laugh and I thought that this video was too cute to miss out. It is basically just him going round giving presents and food to strangers  dressed as a ninja (!) .

5) JacksGap- "South Africa 2013 - Comic Relief" : So possibly the most adorable twins on the internet took a trip to South Africa with Comic Relief and their video raised a lot of awareness for the charity and also the serious problem of HIV and AIDS.

I'm sure I have missed a ton out ( mainly because I only mentioned five, ) so comment any YouTubers who have made videos that have inspired you.
